Pulsavi is a free browser game in the io genre. You start as a single grain of dust in an open field of stardust. Everything you swallow makes you bigger, and everything bigger than you is trying to swallow you. Grow far enough and your body changes: craters, then molten cracks, then an atmosphere, then rings and moons of your own.
Move with the mouse or drag anywhere on a touchscreen. Press space, or the on-screen button, to split — splitting is the only way to reach something that is running away, and it leaves your pieces vulnerable for several seconds. Press W to shed mass. Shed mass can be fed to a pulsar until it spawns a second one, which turns the hazard into a weapon against anyone larger than you.
Open space puts you on one field with everyone else in the room, with the server deciding what happened rather than any player's browser. A room holds 190 bodies; while fewer people are online, the rest are computer-controlled rivals; the player number and the lasting leaderboards count only people. Without a connection the same round runs on your own device. Battle royale starts everyone equal and closes the field in stages until one body is left. Clan battle splits a mirrored arena between two clans and scores total mass after five minutes. Friendly match is a mirrored practice arena that pays no rewards, so it cannot be farmed.
An account is free and needed only for online play; with one, your level, Ore and designs live on the server instead of the browser, so they survive a cleared cache. Honour is earned by swallowing another account in an online round — never a computer-controlled rival, and the same opponent counts once a day — from thirty-one achievements that each pay it once, and a little from the daily bonus; it cannot be bought. It carries twenty ranks, from Cadet to Grand Admiral, shown as a badge beside your name.
No advertising interrupts a round, and nothing sold ever affects play. All 46 designs can be earned — 21 by level, 25 with Ore you win by playing — and the tier of a design is visible on the body itself, so you can tell an experienced player from a merely large one.

Du beginnst als Staubkorn. Sammle den Sternenstaub ein und verschlinge Körper, die deutlich kleiner sind als du. So wächst du über Geröll, Planetesimal und Protoplanet zur Welt mit Ringen und Monden. Wer dich verschlingt, beendet deine Runde — und dann heißt es: Nochmal.
Rote Pfeile um deinen Körper zeigen auf Gegner außerhalb des Bildes, die dich durch Teilen erreichen könnten — mindestens das Zweieinhalbfache deiner Masse, in Sprungweite. Wohin der Pfeil zeigt, dorthin nicht.
Die stacheligen, leuchtenden Körper sind Pulsare. Solange du klein bist, sind sie Deckung: Große, die einen Pulsar überdecken, werden in Stücke gerissen — und das gilt auch für dich, sobald du groß genug bist. Fütterst du einen Pulsar fünfmal mit abgeworfener Masse, stößt er einen neuen Pulsar in Wurfrichtung aus. So sprengt man Riesen.
Die meisten Pulsare liegen am Rand der Karte; in der Mitte sind sie selten. Aus der Ferne leuchtet um jeden Pulsar ein Hof — rot, sobald du groß genug bist, um zerrissen zu werden.
Solange wenige Menschen online sind, füllen Computergegner die Räume auf. Sie sind im Spiel nicht gekennzeichnet, zählen aber nie als Spieler: Die Spielerzahl und die dauerhaften Ranglisten zählen nur Menschen. Für jeden Menschen, der dazukommt, verschwindet einer. Wer im Freien Raum den Titel Titan trägt, ist der Größte im Raum; wer sein letztes Stück verschlingt, übernimmt den Titel.
Als Gast bleibt dein Fortschritt in diesem Browser. Mit Konto liegt er auf dem Spielserver — dann zählen Ehre, Ränge, Errungenschaften, Saison und Ranglisten. Anmelden geht jederzeit über die Einstellungen.
